Teaching Religious Tolerance Through Critical and Evaluative Reading Course for English Language Education Students

Religious tolerance is crucial for bridging a good intercultural interaction among people from different religious backgrounds. In the context of teaching, critical and evaluative reading course one courses that can facilitate students to foster their tolerance. This research aims investigate implementation in building students’ Taking case at UIN Raden Mas Said, this descriptive collected data through interviews, observation, document analysis. The findings showed fundamental aspects practicing comprehension are multimodal text materials addressing religious, cultural, value practices beliefs taken various media, printed or online. teaching strategy was learn help build thinking. were able perform understanding during study period. It implies be cultivated using texts daily practices.
